St. Matthew Lutheran Church is really about drawing nearer to a God who loves us, and the people He loves, both within the church and in our surrounding ministry area. We are passionate about worship, about growing up in Him, about children, and about sharing His love with one another and with our community. While we are a large church (about 1,000 people worshiping in various worship styles and times) that offers a wide variety of Bible studies, serving opportunities, activities, worship styles and locations, we love to grow closer together in love, prayer, study, friendship, and caring for one another in various kinds of small groups.

We have become a regional church, of people from many backgrounds and cultures, mostly from a 10 mile radius from our campuses – people who love to worship and grow in our relationships with God and with each other, and to grow to be more like Christ.

Financial Help

Our Alms Ministry was established to assist people in financial crisis with their immediate needs, we also seek to help our members and community to prevent crisis through financial education and financial counseling. Free one on one financial counseling is available year round. Sit down with a compassionate financial counselor who can help you become a wiser manager of the things you’ve been given.  Contact our church office for more information.

Pastoral Care

The staff members at St. Matthew are available to talk with you when you need them.  They are there to provide spiritual guidance and to help you get past the difficulties of life or to visit your loved ones if they are hospitalized or homebound. Contact the church office at 248-624-7676.

International Friends

International Friends offers help and friendship to our international neighbors. All nationalities are welcome. We offer many classes and activities in easy English, especially for international adults and children. One of our staff members speaks Japanese, and we have the ability to translate materials into Japanese, Korean, German, and Spanish when needed.
